The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with His Excellency Salim bin Nasser bin Said Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman (Oman).
Minister Anand highlighted Canada's position as a reliable investment partner and global leader in energy and critical mineral production. She underscored Canada and Oman's shared priority of building resilient and diversified supply chains.
Minister Anand noted that Canadian companies are delivering on large-scale energy efficiency projects in Oman's energy sector, contributing to Oman's Vision 2040 decarbonization goals. She welcomed a strong Omani presence at Canada's leading forums, including the Global Energy Show that will take place in Calgary from June 9 to 11, 2026, and the 11th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency Canada will be hosting with the International Energy Agency in Montreal on June 29-30, 2026.
