Iranian President Goes to Oman to Promote Cooperation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian left Tehran for Muscat on Tuesday for an official visit at the invitation of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

Speaking to reporters before departure for Oman, President Pezeshkian highlighted his administrations efforts to strengthen cooperation and enhance relations with the neighbors in various fields.

He said the visit to Oman will include talks about the regional affairs, strengthening peace and calm, a review of the situation in Gaza, and developing a common view on various issues.

Pezeshkian also stressed the need for the regional countries to join hands to stop the Israeli regimes atrocities.

The value of trade exchanges between Iran and Oman stands at around $2.3 billion and is rising constantly, the president stated.

Pezeshkian noted that he will hold talks with the Omani officials to weigh plans for closer cooperation in transportation, trade, industry, technology and science.
